We are looking for an experienced MongoDB Database Administrator Team Lead with a deep understanding of MongoDB Atlas and Ops Manager / Percona operator and other distributed databases to lead and support our distributed DB engines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with large-scale distributed database systems, with strong focus on performance tuning and operations
- Proven hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas and Ops Manager / Percona operator
- Strong experience with MongoDB high availability strategies, including replica sets and sharding
- Solid operational understanding of NoSQL data modeling
- Deep knowledge of database performance, scalability concepts, and tuning best practices
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery design
- Ability to write and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts
- Experience with RDBMS platforms (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) is considered a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable collaborating across teams and organizational boundaries
