Class A Equipment Operator

Role Overview

Moretrench Class A operators are the top skill level of Moretrench heavy equipment operators. The company performs industrial work in Florida, primarily in the Tampa area, with a focus on fertilizer and power industries. What You Will Do

Work under the direction of project leads, follow safe operating procedures, perform physical duties associated with equipment operation, and maintain equipment. Perform daily greasing and fluid checks, inspect equipment, and report any issues or concerns.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience operating multiple pieces of heavy equipment at Class A operator level
• Extensive experience in heavy equipment operations involving mass excavations, clearing and grubbing, backfilling and compacting, excavating and pipe laying, and construction and maintenance of embankments, berms, and dikes
• Ability to fully and safely load trucks in an efficient manner
• Demonstrate the skills of a finish grade operator (tolerance of 1/10 of a foot or better) on at least one piece of equipment, dozer or excavator
• Skilled and fully competent in using GPS system as a grading tool to achieve grades
• Valid Florida driver's license, or the equivalent
• Able to operate heavy machinery for long periods, including evenings and weekends when necessary
• Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
