Role Overview

Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients. Technical supervision of the operation, maintenance and repair of all critical environment systems while maintaining 100% uptime to all critical mechanical systems.

What You Will Do

Respond to customer service requests, troubleshoot and evaluate system upgrades, order parts and supplies, work with vendors and contractors, conduct annual review of system/component End-of-Life, and develop and keep up to date all site mechanical procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years direct industry experience or 8 years' experience at Mechanical Technician level in a critical environment combined with supervisory experience
• Excellent understanding and experience of mechanical and control systems used in a data centre environment
• Experience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), building management systems, and their integration with the data centre infrastructure
• Extensive experience of large scale chilled water plant
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer literate
• Strong and committed team player with excellent communication and coaching skills
• Ability to learn quickly and to gain maximum benefit from extensive training and development programmes
