Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting with the operations of the sports medicine program, administering proper care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and providing athletic training coverage for practices and events.

Requirements

• Master’s degree required
• Certified in athletic training by the Board of Certification
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR / AED as required by the Board of Certification
• New York State Licensure (or be eligible) required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Maintain and report continuing education units every two years as required by the Board of Certification
