R&D Engineer 5, Hardware

Role Overview

As an R&D Hardware Engineer, you will contribute to a range of hands-on projects, leveraging your Electrical Engineering expertise and measurement knowledge. You will play a vital role in our product development team, designing, developing, and testing RF and microwave test equipment.

What You Will Do

Developing analog and RF circuits, leading component selection, schematic entry, PCB/PCA design, electrical characterization and debug, crafting technical documentation, and mentoring early-career engineers.

Requirements

• BS/MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent applicable experience
• 10+ years industry experience designing, debugging, documenting, and shipping electronic hardware products
• Knowledge of circuit theory, transmission line theory, and high-speed signal design
• Printed circuit board design experience, including experience with high-speed signal integrity
• Experience designing for high RF output power applications
• Experience with CAD/CAE design tools
• Ability to use scripting languages such as Python for instrument control and data collection
• Proactive in issue discovery and resolution
• Good analytical problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work independently and tackle challenging tasks
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Hands-on experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. to validate analog designs
