Technology (Procurement) Attorney

Role Overview

The Technology Attorney oversees all types of firm technology contracts and related risk management considerations, working with the General Counsel, CIO, and Technology & Innovation Committee to manage technology governance, contracting strategies, privacy and data protection, procurement, and vendor management.

What You Will Do

Develops and operates technology procurement systems, processes, and controls, leads legal review and negotiation for firm contracts with technology aspects, and develops contract lifecycle management tools.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA approved school or equivalent
• Active license in good standing with a state bar
• Comprehensive technology contract experience
• Familiarity with generative artificial intelligence products and capabilities
• Experience with records systems and Microsoft products
• Data privacy laws and regulations
• Written and oral negotiation with counterparties
• Exceptional critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and writing skills
• Interest and experience in enterprise technology
• Ability to organize and synthesize information
• Flexibility, innovation, and prioritization skills
• Comfort working among business departments and time zones
• Strong personal and professional ethical values
