Role Overview

KION is seeking a highly motivated and experienced technical writer to join our team. This technical writing role transforms complex data and information for automation & robotics into high-quality, technical information that supports both human learning and AI-based applications.

What You Will Do

Create, maintain & distribute technical information, assemble content as audience-specific deliverables, translate or localize content, collaborate with engineers and product teams to validate content and ensure quality.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of Technical Writing experience
• Clear, concise technical writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with structured content tools or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and consistency in terminology and formatting
• Collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams
• Experience in crafting technical or product documentation from engineering data or SME input within automotive, robotics or other engineering & software development environments
• Hand-on experience using authoring or content management tools
• Experience collaborating with engineers or cross-functional teams to capture and validate information
• Exposure to global content needs, including translation or localization workflows
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Engineering, or a related field, equivalent experience may be substituted
• Foundational knowledge of technical writing principles or structured content practices through coursework, internships, or professional experience
• Certification in technical communication or content development
