KIPP SoCal Public Schools seeks a Part-Time Expanded Learning Special Education Assistant to provide academic assistance, intervention support, and recreational programming to students with disabilities. The role involves developing and implementing academic, recreational, and enrichment activities, as well as supervising students and implementing behavior support plans.
Requirements
- High School diploma or AA degree
- 1-year experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
- Experience implementing behavioral intervention for students with complex and/or severe behavioral problems
- Certification in NCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)
- First aid and CPR
- Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Knowledge of behavioral management strategies and techniques related to pupils with special needs
- Prior experience working with groups of elementary or middle school students in an academic or recreational setting
