
Job description
The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for providing customer service activities associated with modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing of highly complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows. The role requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and operational quality of system equipment.
The primary responsibilities of the Customer Support Engineer include evaluating, analyzing, and diagnosing technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site, ensuring equipment enhances customer production, repairing and modifying equipment at customer facility, and providing guidance and technical assistance to Installation Engineer on installations at customer sites.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electronics, optics, and lasers, as well as excellent mechanical and analytical skills. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and stringent timelines, and have strong interpersonal/communication skills to understand customer needs.
