Entry Level Staff Geotechnical Professional

Kleinfelder is seeking an Entry Level Staff Geotechnical Professional to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a positive work attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and intermediate knowledge of MS Office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of energy, commercial, transportation infrastructure, and construction projects.

Requirements

• Assist the Project Engineers/Project Managers and participate in execution of field investigation and potential construction oversight.
• Assist with review and compilation of geotechnical laboratory and field-testing results, perform geotechnical analyses and report writing.
• Coordination with drilling contractors, supervision of drilling and geotechnical field investigations, logging of borings and test pits.
• Compilation of lab and field testing results, geotechnical engineering analysis under supervision, soil/rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, settlement, ground improvement, and geologic hazard evaluation.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, assist the Project Engineers/Managers and participate in field assignments including boring layout and utility clearance.
