We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Public Sector Specialist to help us grow our impact in the public sector. You will identify, engage, and grow apprenticeship partnerships across the UK public sector, working with government departments, local authorities, and other public institutions. As a remote/hybrid role, you will travel to London for meet-ups and training days, and have the opportunity to undertake a fully funded Chartered Management Institute qualification.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development within the public sector (essential)
- Experience selling into government departments, NHS Trusts, councils, or other public bodies (highly advantageous)
- Experience within the apprenticeship or skills sector (desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement, frameworks, and tendering processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Demonstrable ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships and manage complex accounts
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
- Adaptable and resilient, comfortable navigating evolving public sector landscapes
- Professional, enthusiastic, and driven, contributing positively to the team and wider organisation

- Uncapped commission on all apprenticeship starts once monthly target is met
