Requirements
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and sanitize them according to health standards.
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen work surfaces, floors, equipment, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Empty trash bins regularly and maintain proper waste disposal and segregation procedures.
- Assist cooks with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Receive and properly store food deliveries, ensuring items are organized and rotated using FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Restock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and cooking stations as needed during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of food storage areas, walk-in refrigerators, and dry storage.
- Assist in setting up the kitchen before service and breaking down stations after closing.
- Support the cooking team during busy periods by fetching ingredients, tools, and supplies.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory counting and stock management as directed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work cooperatively with all team members.
