Field Service Engineer 1

Field Service Engineer at Lam Research providing quality repair and preventive maintenance of Lam etch / clean / deposition equipment at customer sites. Install and relocate equipment, perform start-up and troubleshooting activities, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime. Proficient in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals, with ability to work in a clean room environment. Travel frequently domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• Install and/or relocate equipment at customers’ sites
• Provide warranty tool support or paid service for out-of-warranty tool
• Apply troubleshooting techniques to eliminate equipment malfunctions
• Implement field modifications or updates as released in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Carry out Tier 2 process qualification work
• Prepare and maintain accurate logs, service records, part usage documentation, diagnostic updates, and other management reports
