Technical Buyer

Role Overview

The Technical Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technically specified components that meet engineering, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The role requires strong technical understanding, supplier management capability, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, manage RFQs, evaluate quotations, issue purchase orders, and resolve supplier quality or delivery issues. Identify, qualify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure strong overall performance in cost, delivery, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development or Supply Chain Management
• Three to Five years purchasing materials in a manufacturing environment
• MRP or ERP software experience required
• Certified Purchasing Management (CPM) certification desired
• Advanced in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
