Operations Technician - Animal Facility

Role Overview

Perform daily animal care activities, husbandry tasks, and technical skills in a team-oriented production environment. Work in a facility with a focus on animal care and use guidelines.

What You Will Do

Feed animals, perform nail trimming, cage cleaning, and sanitization. May perform milking, injections, and animal identification applications. Utilize computer and paper-based systems to document information.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-3yr laboratory animal experience
• AALAS certification at the ALAT level (preferred)
• Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment
• Strong attention to detail and compliance with Good Documentation Practices
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, internet)
• Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 500 pounds
