Upper School Mathematics Teacher

Léman Manhattan is seeking an Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join its vibrant, collaborative learning community. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field and experience teaching an IB Math. Responsibilities include teaching a full-time load of 5 classes, guiding an advisory, and maintaining accurate grades.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in related field
• Experience teaching an IB Math preferred
• At least 3 years teaching experience in high-performing school
• Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction within the appropriate content area and/or grade level
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
• Effective organizational skills including but not limited to lesson planning, implementing units of study, differentiating instruction, designing and implementing assessments
• Ability to monitor student progress and report information in a timely manner
• Ability to manage, delegate and monitor tasks
• Ability to mentor and coach students, acts as a student achievement advocate and advisor
• Highly developed collaborative skills and the ability to work well with others
