The Developmental Therapist will integrate therapeutic support strategies into classrooms, provide training and education to teachers and families, and administer developmental screenings. They will work with children birth-5 in Early Learning Programs and provide Early Intervention Therapies as a First Steps Developmental Therapist (birth – age 3).
Requirements
- Devise and implement teaching styles and strategies compatible with the Early Learning Programs and child/family's individual needs
- Facilitate the growth of the child's caregivers as teachers by providing resources and support necessary for them to adequately meet each goal
- Provide all caregivers of children (teachers/parents/guardians) with a developmental model of learning
- Visit and consult with other community service providers who provide services to children served by LOGAN
- Prepare, in conjunction with parents and other agencies, an Individualized Family Service Plan
- Evaluate and record each child's overall programming and recommend curriculum enhancement or alternative placement
