Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and Logan Health MAU/UAP scope of practice. Provides administrative support and works collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision, and values of Logan Health.
Requirements
- Registered Medical Assistant credential required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinic or medical practice setting preferred
- Current Health Care Provider CPR certification preferred
- Medical office experience and medical terminology training preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements preferred
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
