
Job description
LS Power is seeking a Transmission Planning Engineer Intern to join our team in Chesterfield, MO. This internship provides hands-on exposure to transmission system planning and grid development initiatives in a rapidly evolving energy market.
Support transmission system planning and reliability studies, assist with power flow and contingency analysis, support interconnection and grid impact assessments, review ISO/RTO planning processes and documentation, analyze data related to load growth, generation additions, and system constraints, assist in preparing technical reports and internal presentations.
We want you on our team because you are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, have completed coursework in power systems or transmission planning, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, have an interest in power systems, grid reliability, and energy infrastructure, communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
