Campus Safety Dispatchers are responsible for receiving and responding to telephone and radio calls and dispatching staff to routine emergencies. Monitors all alarms and surveillance equipment and assists the public with information as needed.
Requirements
- Receive calls and dispatch appropriate personnel to respond.
- Manage all radio transmissions and ensure the system is functioning properly.
- Responsible for all written communication and its accuracy.
- Serves as the primary link between the Department of Campus Safety and local emergency response units.
- Responsible for overall dispatch office management (i.e. supplies, forms, and operational manuals)
