Resident Engineer - MassPort/MBTA

Role Overview

M&J Engineering is seeking a Resident Engineer to work on complex construction projects in the Massachusetts area, including MassPort and MBTA projects. The Resident Engineer will lead a project team and ensure all construction project work is performed on schedule, on budget, and according to plans and quality standards.

What You Will Do

Primary responsibilities include ensuring project work is performed on schedule and budget, working with clients and stakeholders to mitigate operational impacts, monitoring project CPM schedules and milestones, and evaluating contractor pay requisitions.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, 10 years of civil construction work experience, and a valid PE license in Massachusetts. Experience working on MassPort or MBTA projects is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Ten (10) years of civil construction work experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Ability to lead and manage CE&I project staff
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
