
Job description
We are seeking a Senior DFM Engineer to develop and implement fabrication and assembly processes to transition new products from R&D to production. This position is primarily geared towards products in low-rate production that consist of high-precision components and/or complex system architectures.
Plan, design and implement manufacturing and assembly processes for new product development, review detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for accuracy and tolerances, and determine parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in design of production tooling/fixtures, developing assembly work instructions, setup and support of new product lines, and use of production travelers for process tracking and traceability.
