Quality Technician I

Role Overview

The Quality Tech is responsible for ensuring that all elements of food safety within the Quality Monitoring Scheme are being met. Ensures that all regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives are being met and maintained.

What You Will Do

Perform Quality checks on production lines, bring discrepancies to attention of Supervisor or Quality Manager, ensure product meets legal and customer requirements, complete paperwork, maintain 5-S, and perform other duties as required.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have good attention to detail, be able to spot defects on fast-moving production lines, and have good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak, write, and comprehend Spanish is a plus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Post High School education preferred
• 3 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician
• 1 year of experience as a QA Technician or other Technical department
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to spot defects on fast-moving production lines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to speak, write, and comprehend Spanish
• Ability to perform simple mathematic calculation
• Ability to maintain good interpersonal communications and work collaboratively with co-workers
• Experience with MS Office Suite
