Mallory Alexander International Logistics seeks a Logistics Professional to join their growing team, responsible for tracking shipments, updating records, and coordinating with transportation providers. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, and at least 3 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry.
Requirements
- Track and trace shipments in route via air, ocean, rail, and truck.
- Open import shipment records in operating system, including bill of lading and various shipment details.
- Initiate open Cargowise files with all Data Elements to pass to CHB.
- Update operating system with associated milestones and events, including ETA, and changes to shipment details as notifications are received.
- Pre-alert & dispatch shipments to domestic transportation provider once release US Customs
- Ensure timely release and availability of cargo.
- Report delays to appropriate CSR and supervisor.
- Review shipment arrival notices, notifications, pick up numbers and add to file Edocs.
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery with transportation providers FCL LCL and Air.
- Upload and distribute shipment arrival notices, notifications, pick-up numbers.
- Manage email and other correspondence, sorting and prioritizing based on message and shipment type/status.
- Update any changes to shipment details as notifications are received.
