
Job description
The Process Engineering Technician assists with the development of new materials, produces wire and cable prototype samples, and assists with research and developmental test plans. This role requires working independently to read and interpret specifications, and collaborating with the Development Engineer, Materials Development Manager, and outside Specialists.
Responsibilities include processing samples of wire and cable, developing and maintaining SOPs, conducting research and developmental testing, and participating in Lean/5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires a self-starter with hands-on wire and cable experience, basic arithmetic and mathematical skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees. The ideal candidate is able to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and troubleshoot effectively.
