Hardware & Silicon Validation Staff Engineer

Role Overview

As a Hardware and Silicon Validation Staff Engineer at Marvell, you'll be helping to deliver high bandwidth over long distances. This team performs analog validations on amplifiers that drive optical electronic devices and receivers. We also validate silicon photonics, do upper electronic measurements and support the coherent digital signal programming unit.

What You Will Do

Development, porting, execution, and debug of bare metal SW on multiple SSD blocks to validate proper functionality. Create, maintain and improve code to support new features and standards. Work with Design, FW, and Validation teams to debug any issues found and find root cause on failure cases.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Excellent C/C++ SW development skills, a good understanding of embedded SW development, Linux and basic knowledge of ARM/RISC micro-processor or SOC architecture. Experience with embedded SW development and proven debug abilities and skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering
• At least 3-5 years professional experience and/or Master's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, and at least 2-3 years professional experience
• Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Excellent C/C++ SW development skills
• Good understanding of embedded SW development, Linux and basic knowledge of ARM/RISC micro-processor or SOC architecture
• Working knowledge of DDR, SPI, PCIe, NVMe
• Experience with embedded SW development and proven debug abilities and skills
• Familiar with typical lab tools: Emulators, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers
