Senior Staff Post-Silicon Validation Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Staff Post-Silicon Validation Engineer will leverage their knowledge in analog/mixed signal design during post-silicon validation, with a focus on electrical characterization and performance verification to ensure the integrity of Marvell's data communication solutions. The role will involve characterizing and validating PCIe, high speed SerDes IPs and ICs with lab instruments, designing and developing system hardware and software for electrical characterization, functional validation, and performance analysis, and creating customizable hardware reference design to ensure consistent and reliable data communication solutions.

What You Will Do

Characterize and validate PCIe, high speed SerDes IPs and ICs with lab instruments such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer, etc. Design and develop system hardware and software for electrical characterization, functional validation, and performance analysis. Create customizable hardware reference design to ensure consistent and reliable data communication solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5+ years of related professional experience
• Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3+ years of experience
• Strong experience in electrical engineering field, particularly in analog and mixed-signal design
• Experience in high speed SERDES electrical characterization / electrical compliance testing
• Hands on experience with lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Function Generator, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.
• In-depth knowledge and working experience of PCIe and high speed SerDes technologies is preferred
• Proficiency in programming language, Python preferred
• Clear logic thinking and excellent problem-solving skill
• Strong verbal/written communication and documentation skill
