Capital Projects Manager

Role Overview

The Project Manager is accountable for cost/schedule/execution at the Micro Level for each individual project and ensuring alignment with the overall Site Portfolio Strategy. The role is hands-on, reacting quickly to issues, managing interfaces, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.

Drive projects through completion, manage scope, cost, and schedule, and deliver solutions that bring value to the business.

The successful candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience, 5+ years of direct experience as a project engineer and/or project manager, and experience with portfolio planning and execution.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Petro-chemical, refining or manufacturing
• 5+ years of direct experience as a project engineer and/or project manager
• Experience with project management of small/mid-sized projects
• Experience with portfolio planning, development, and execution
• Familiarity with a staged-gate Capital execution process and underlying project methodologies
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple projects
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external clients
• Working knowledge of industry standards for engineering, design and construction
• PE and/or PMP Certification a plus
