Cable Applications Engineer

Role Overview

This position requires technical knowledge and experience in the design, operation, testing and maintenance of LV, MV and HV cables. The Cable Applications Engineer will provide technical support, validate new products, and contribute to product design and development.

What You Will Do

Provide technical support, validate new products, work with the engineering team, participate in marketing and sales activities, prepare technical articles, and present at conferences.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of power system operation, and experience with cable design, construction, and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of power system operation and circuit's analysis
• Experience with design, construction, installation, operation, testing and maintenance practices of cables and cable accessories
• In-depth understanding of cable testing and diagnostic techniques
• Good working knowledge of cable fault location methods and procedures
• 5 years of direct experience in cable commissioning, field-testing, and fault location methods and practices
• Knowledge of applicable and relevant IEEE, IEC and NETA standards
• Ability to present technical topics and communicate effectively
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Windows platforms and Microsoft Office
