The primary job function is to manage the general ledger, understand journal entries, and ensure supporting work papers are complete and accurate to achieve timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
Requirements
- Lead a team of accountants and financial professionals
- Accountable for overall effectiveness and compliance with established accounting practices and procedures
- Works in conjunction with state examiners and outside auditors to coordinate audits
- Analyzes operating results relative to established guidelines and takes appropriate action to improve performance, productivity, and effectiveness
- Works with leadership to complete projects and requests from other business units
