Structured Cable Technician - Data Center

Role Overview

Provide management of daily activities using technical resources to meet operational needs. Responsible for repair, replacement, labeling, installation, and troubleshooting of copper wiring, fiber wiring, UPS units, PDU units, and pathways.

What You Will Do

Plan, design, and implement network and system engineering plans of moderate scope and complexity. Troubleshoot connection issues, install, move, and remove devices, and manage inventory.

Requirements

• Working under our data center manager and Director of ICT
• Responding to incident tickets to resolve issues
• Complete change tasks assigned to the team
• Complete project tasks
• Troubleshooting connection issues within and between locations
• Work within the ticketing system to update statuses on active work
• Installing, moving, and removing devices.
• Managing inventory
• Installing, testing, moving, labeling, and removing copper and fiber cabling.
• Generating reports
• Perform quality checks of work performed
• Provide feedback on work prioritization
