Saw Machine Operator

Role Overview

The Saw Operator performs routine to moderately advanced production activities requiring demonstrated skill and competency in production processes and machine operation. The role involves operating a single point machine to process work pieces by cutting, sawing, and grinding. The operator will work under limited supervision and be responsible for quality control inspections and minor machine maintenance.

What You Will Do

Positions work pieces for processing, operates a single point machine, uses gauges and calipers for measurement, programs machine from standard drawing file, operates overhead crane, and performs quality control inspections.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination, as well as detail-oriented and able to multi-task. The role requires a high school graduate or equivalent, basic reading and writing comprehension in English, and basic measuring skills.

Requirements

• Valid overhead crane certification
• Valid OSHA forklift certification
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English
• Basic measuring skills to read English & Metric systems
• Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a machine operator
• Knowledge of matching procedures
• Experience operating an overhead crane / forklift operator
