Electrical Reliability Engineer (Instrumentation & Controls)

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Electrical Reliability Engineer to lead electrical reliability initiatives within a chemical manufacturing environment, with supporting responsibility for instrumentation and control systems. This role is responsible for improving equipment uptime, strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with electrical and safety standards in a PSM-regulated facility.

What You Will Do

Lead efforts to improve electrical equipment reliability, minimize downtime, reduce breakdowns, and maximize plant productivity. Provide technical leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical system issues, including motors, drives, power distribution, and related equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field
• 5+ years of industrial experience with strong exposure to electrical systems, equipment reliability, or maintenance engineering
• Working knowledge of electrical safety and compliance requirements, including NFPA 70E, NEC, and related industrial standards
• Experience supporting or leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical, instrumentation, and/or control systems
• Hands-on experience in root cause failure analysis and using data or KPIs to improve equipment reliability performance
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, ownership, and independent judgment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence team members in a plant environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
