Cost Accountant

Role Overview

Primarily focused on inventory, this position will help ensure that the relevant corporate policy and internal controls / cost accounting roadmap is administered within the site, and will work with the site finance representative over inventory.

What You Will Do

Maintain adequate inventory, analyze open/closed work order variances, review inventory scrap and other adjustments for accuracy, and perform periodic product costing and product margin analysis.

Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MSWord, MS PowerPoint, and knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system are also necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years work experience in cost accounting/business analysis
• Past experience in manufacturing environment required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MSWord, MS PowerPoint
• Knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Proven skills in problem analysis and problem resolution
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of analytical competency and math skills demonstrated through professional accomplishments
