As a Maintenance Technician at Minerals Technologies Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong electrical, millwright, welding, and mechanical skills, with a high school diploma or equivalent as the minimum education requirement.

- Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with minimal down time
- Maintain reliability of bulk handling packaging lines
- Maintain a Preventative Maintenance program
- Troubleshoot
- Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
- Small capital projects
- Acts in a leading role for facility improvements and facility maintenance
- Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
- Actively involved with new product development that may impact the manufacturing and packaging process
- Interface with vendors on the possible purchase of equipment and facility needs
- Maintain proper documentation for the dust collector system
- Works with Line-Lead person on insuring weight scales are consistently providing proper data
- Responsible for proper mixture of scent chemicals and additives
- Maintain an active spare parts list
- Follows and actively promotes safe work, good housekeeping and hygiene practices within the context of current or future legislation and safety program
- Attends all group safety talks and alerts the Company of any safety hazard or housekeeping hygiene concerns
- Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities
