Role Overview

Researches, develops, and edits commercial vehicle diagnostic and repair information for incorporation into Commercial Vehicle Group product line. Reports to Senior Editor. Works in a team environment to achieve organizational objectives.

What You Will Do

Research and compile diagnostic, repair, and other pertinent data, verify technical accuracy, and maintain established productivity standards. Provides customer service and suggests improvements to CVG products.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires 1 year of recent hands-on commercial vehicle industry experience, ASE certifications, and completion of an English writing course. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize and organize, and proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• AA degree or Vo-Tech certificate with commercial vehicle diagnostic and repair emphasis
• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certification
• ASE Automotive Truck certification
• Completion of at least one college level English writing course or equivalent
• 1 year of recent hands-on commercial vehicle industry experience
• Sufficient commercial vehicle knowledge
• Knowledge of latest commercial vehicle systems, diagnosis, and repair procedures
• Understanding of OBD II and SAE J1939, J1587/1708 fault code standards and fault code structure
• Ability to prioritize and organize
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC and Standard Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
