
Job description
The Machine Operator I is responsible for the overall operation of the exit section of the paint line, including speed, steering, and tension adjustments. The role requires rotation every 30 days, with 1st shift (6 am to 6 pm) and 3rd shift (6 pm to 6 am) schedules. The Machine Operator I must communicate daily with internal personnel to help resolve problems and achieve company goals.
Responsible for inspection of the strip surface, identifying defective product, and safely cutting and discharging finished coils. Also responsible for quarantining defective product, obtaining representative samples, and notifying Quality Control.
The Machine Operator I must have good communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and comprehend documents. The role requires the ability to apply common sense understanding and solve problems involving multiple variables.
