Job Description
MongoDB is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Networking & Observability team. The team focuses on building and enhancing core components facilitating communication between distributed processes. They currently include six engineers and are looking to integrate OpenTelemetry to accelerate testing. The role involves building and scaling observability features for MongoDB’s open source database.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building distributed systems
- Experienced and passionate about delivering and deploying a product with cross-team stakeholders
- Experience with building production-level code with a large user base
- Strong understanding of modern computer architecture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Time management and project management skills
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals
- Proven history of success or academic research in networking, performance tuning, or distributed systems
- High performance / low latency networking
