The Associate Director of Counseling and Psychological Services assists in the management of on-site counseling services and directly supervises a team of five staff clinicians. The position interprets relevant laws and directives and applies interpretation to case management practices.
Requirements
- Psy.D/Ph.D in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
- Minimum four years of full-time professional work experience in a university counseling center or related setting.
- Current valid license as a psychologist, social worker or counselor in the State of New Jersey.
- LCSW or LPC with commensurate experience.
- Ability to work as needed on an on-call basis after normal business hours.
- Demonstrated competence in time limited individual and group counseling with diverse populations
- Proven ability and commitment to successfully working with diverse and underrepresented groups
- Well-developed knowledge base and ability to assess/intervene with developmental concerns, especially those of young adults
- Strong ability to build collegial relationships within the University and surrounding community
