We're looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our growing product development team in Mumbai, contributing directly to the future of digital investor experiences across Australia. As a Senior Software Engineer at Morningstar, you will lead engineering initiatives aimed at modernising our technology stack and build performant, secure, and elegant APIs using Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript tooling.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building outstanding web applications using modern frameworks, tools, and engineering practices.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building cloudnative applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, with demonstrated experience designing and building robust APIs.
- Expertise with both relational and nonrelational databases.
- A passion for creating intuitive, userfocused digital experiences.
- A flexible, adaptive problemsolving mindset—you love learning new tools, exploring new ideas, and solving meaningful problems.
- A mature, collaborative approach to teamwork—you give and receive feedback constructively.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
