Carpenter Apprentice 1

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice I to assist Journeyman and Foreman Carpenters in completing tasks while learning the trade. Responsibilities include setup of trailers and temporary structures, installing shelves and setup of site per erosion control plan, and performing concrete and rough carpentry.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Currently enrolled in apprenticeship program
• Previous experience on a construction site preferred
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedback
• Ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, read plans, and operate equipment
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
