
Job description
MPI is a worldwide leader in manufacturing specialized equipment for the investment casting industry. We are looking for a hands-on controls engineer to develop, design and collaborate on the creation of control systems for our equipment. This includes: creating electrical schematics, PLC program logic, developing and modifying controls, and ensuring our equipment is safe, efficient and cutting-edge.
Supports MPI lean culture and initiatives, creates electrical schematics, PLC program logic, and electrical enclosure designs, completes electrical design for a project with some supervision, and ensures that any of his or her own work is inspected and approved by a qualified engineer.
This position operates within a team of engineers who are responsible for developing customized solutions for the industry. Hands-on robotic programming experience for complex automation projects is desirable. Due to ITAR agreements with our customers, all MPI employees are required to be US citizens.
