Job description
As a Principal Software Engineer Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to build features into Windows on behalf of customers and partners. You will guide partnership with stakeholders, optimize code, and deliver high-quality code changes.
You will guide teams, identify dependencies, develop design documents, and optimize code to improve performance and maintainability. You will also deliver OS features that integrate well into current and future product plans.
This role requires 12+ years of technical engineering experience, 3+ years of engineering management experience, and experience building software in large codebases. You should have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to operationalize them into team practices.
