
Job description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in accordance with electrical diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and/or manufacturer’s specifications. This includes adhering to safety procedures and/or protocols and established Good Manufacturing Processes to ensure product integrity and customers’ specifications are preserved.
Performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment, uses an electronic CMMS system to document work performed, and trains junior or new technicians on equipment, procedures, and troubleshooting practices.
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, and a high school diploma. Mid-level and above experience requires 2-6 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, and a 2-year technical or community college degree. Advanced level requires 7 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food industry, and a 2-year AAS degree.
