Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in accordance with electrical diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and/or manufacturer’s specifications. This includes adhering to safety procedures and/or protocols and established Good Manufacturing Processes to ensure product integrity and customers’ specifications are preserved.

What You Will Do

Performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment, uses an electronic CMMS system to document work performed, and trains junior or new technicians on equipment, procedures, and troubleshooting practices.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, and a high school diploma. Mid-level and above experience requires 2-6 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, and a 2-year technical or community college degree. Advanced level requires 7 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food industry, and a 2-year AAS degree.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 2 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
• Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reports, and correspondence
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance manuals
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
• PC or tablet competency, and ability to use handheld devices
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance
