Inpatient Women's Health Nurse (LDRP)

We are seeking an Inpatient Women's Health Nurse (LDRP) to provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in L&D, PP, and NICU Level II/Nursery area.

Requirements

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of laboring mothers and newborns
• Develop individualized care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Provide continuous labor support and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Monitor mothers and newborns during the recovery period and provide education on newborn care
• Provide expert care for newborns, including routine screenings, vaccinations, and monitoring for jaundice and other common neonatal conditions
• Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to hospital protocols and physician orders
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all patient care activities
• Educate patients and families on labor progress, pain management options, newborn care, postpartum self-care, and available resources
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including fetal distress, postpartum hemorrhage, and newborn resuscitation
