CNRC is seeking a Technical Agent or Agent, Scaling Up - Cell Culture to strengthen our Human Health Therapeutic Research Centre. The ideal candidate will share our core values: integrity, excellence, respect, and creativity, and have experience in developing and scaling up bioprocesses using expression systems for the production of recombinant proteins and/or viral vectors and/or viruses intended for vaccine development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biochemical engineering or chemistry, molecular biology or cell biology, microbiology, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in developing and scaling up bioprocesses using expression systems for the production of recombinant proteins and/or viral vectors and/or viruses intended for vaccine development
- Experience with the operation of bioreactors in different modes (batch and/or fed-batch and/or perfusion)
- Professional experience in aseptic environments, preferably with mammalian cells
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in techniques for the analysis applied to the quantification and characterization of recombinant proteins and/or viral vectors
- Experience working with cell cultures in suspension in flasks or other small-scale and high-throughput equipment
- Experience with typical cell culture instrumentation used for on-line and off-line measurements of culture parameters and metabolites
- Experience in setting up cell culture media and optimizing process culture conditions
