Structural Engineer

NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design of US Navy test facilities, with experience in design of steel and concrete structures, ASCE and AISC standards, and STAAD.pro. A Professional Engineering license is preferred.

Requirements

• Review design requirements and establish design criteria.
• Develop design sketches for arrangement of structures and connection details.
• Develop structural calculations by hand or with computer analysis program to demonstrate code compliance.
• Review and check engineering drawings of structures.
• Communicate with others on the project team and with the customer’s technical personnel.
• Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
• Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mechanics or Civil Engineering.
• Have 3 years of professional experience in civil and structural engineering, including 2 years of experience with new construction projects.
• Have strong verbal and written communications skills.
