As a mid-level Electrical Engineer in the BESS group, you will be responsible for performing engineering design and analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer. You will be a part of an integrated design team and are responsible for coordinating with team members to meet project schedules and deliverables on time and within the defined budget.
Requirements
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to perform detailed physical and electrical design and engineering for all aspects of battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Prepares computer-based models and performs power system studies on utility scale BESS projects as required
- Writes material, equipment, and construction specifications
- Reviews spec sheets and submittals for conformance with specifications and design
- Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, and studies
- Provides field assistance, troubleshooting, and observation reports, as required
- Reviews the work of Designers, Drafters, and Field Service Personnel for general quality and accuracy, as required
- Maintains a strong understanding and comprehension of applicable Codes and Standards
- Maintains strong and responsive Company-Client relationships, particularly for communication pertaining to specific assignments and meeting topics
- Maintains high ethical and professional standards
- Works additional time beyond 40 hours/week to complete projects, proposals and/or administrative functions, as required
- Attends conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of work
- Attends safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines
