Painter I

Role Overview

The Painter I role is crucial in the Paint department, requiring a comprehensive set of skills and expertise in applying liquid coatings. The individual will work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, taking on a mentorship role and training Painter II positions.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include thriving in a fast-paced production paint setting, spraying solid and high metallic colors, and adhering to quality paint standards. The individual will also be responsible for surface preparation, reading and interpreting paint drawings, and staying informed about painting safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school degree
• 1-2 years of experience in painting or a related field
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work at heights and safely use a ladder
• Ability to wear a respirator for up to eight hours
