Newport Mental Health (NMH) is a progressive organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals recovering from mental illness and substance use disorders through person-centered recovery approach. They offer a range of services including outpatient clinic, school-based therapy, and support groups. They are seeking a Peer Specialist to provide practical support and mentoring to clients, building trusting relationships and assisting in problem-solving.

Requirements

• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (RICRB)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• 2+ years of solid recovery with self-care commitment
• Caring and empathetic
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to ethical standards
• Ability to work in a culturally competent way
